Subconscious Mind - State - Behaviour/Decision = Results
The results we achieve during our lives are because of our state, which determines our behaviour and decisions. What we do, or do not do determines our outcomes and the results we achieve. Our state is responsible for our behaviours and decisions. Our wellbeing at the time, affects what we do and how well we do it. Our state is determined by what is being presented or processed by our subconscious mind. Ultimately, our subconscious mind determines our results.
The functions of your subconscious mind are mostly hidden from you. (Meaning of Subconscious = the part of the mind below the level of conscious perception.) By that, I mean that you are not consciously aware of them.
The knowledge and skill you will be learning through your Coaching/Training are designed to cause significant instant and lasting change within yourself. Change occurs in the Subconscious Mind. Would you be interested in learning techniques that can cause change in the subconscious mind? Sure, you would, or you would not be reading this E-book, would you?

Before we get there, you need to learn more about the Subconscious Mind and what it specifically does.
This is how I would like you to imagine the vast power of your Subconscious Mind
Imagine that the top part of the iceberg, the part above the water represents your conscious mind and the rest is your subconscious mind. It also represents nicely how we are limited in our ability to see the bigger picture. Have you ever seen an iceberg and considered its size under the water? We are conditioned to settle for what we can see... are we not? Think about that for a while...
We are too eager in accepting everything the way we perceive it is. Not for one minute do we consider the possibility of a bigger picture.
Your subconscious mind is the biggest part of the functioning of your mind, which is about 95% of your mind, whereas the conscious mind is only about 5%. Your subconscious mind stores all your Memories, Emotions, Beliefs, Habits, Behaviours, Values, Programming and Instincts.
Your subconscious mind makes use of all the neurons in your body to store the information it requires to function and each neuron in your body is like a hologram (mirror image containing about 90% of the entire information of the mind according to quantum physicist David Bohm) of the whole neural network. So all your memories, emotions, habits, programming, and instincts are stored throughout you entire body and every cell in your body is affected by them. When you have a lot of unprocessed Negative Emotions like anger, frustration, sadness, fear, hurt, doubt, hate, shame, anxiety and guilt that have not been resolved, they will have a negative impact on your whole body and not just your mind. That can cause a lot of unwanted behaviours, symptoms and diseases. Unprocessed negative emotions are like little black bags polluting your entire body and mind. If you do not deal with them, they will start to rot and cause all sorts of emotional problems and can even manifest as physical disease.
Your subconscious mind determines your Behaviour, which determines your end results. The life results we achieve are a result of our behaviour. What we do, or don’t do, determines the outcomes. So ultimately, our subconscious mind determines our end results. To change our current results we need to change our behaviour, which means we have to work with our subconscious mind in order to get different results. And this is exactly where I can help you using NLP and the latest scientific breakthroughs concerning human behaviour.
Subconscious Mind facts:
- It controls 97% of our perception and behaviour.
- It averages 10 billion actions/calculations per second!
- It sees in pictures and patterns.
- Its impulses travel at more than 160.000 km/s.
- It doesn’t know the difference between truth or a lie. It accepts everything as the truth.
- It can’t tell real from imagined - it believes everything to be the absolute truth, whatever you send it - either an image or an idea.
- It works in an orderly manner.
- It stores memories using the Time Line (it uses a Time Line to store memories chronologically, so you can know the difference in time between the events that have happened last month, five years ago, 10 years ago, etc...).
Your subconscious mind is the Operating System for you and your body. It's metaphorically speaking your Windows. It runs everything. It stores your memories, beliefs, habits, values and generates your behaviour. It regenerates cells in your body; it runs your heart, controls the immune system. It controls over 97% of your behaviour, and you think that you are in charge of your decisions and your life? Well, you could be and you will be when you complete your Coaching or Training program! By the end of the Coaching/Training, you will know exactly how your subconscious mind works. You will know how it influences the results you create in your life and how to get it aligned with your current thinking and goals. Think about your conscious mind being a goal setter, and your subconscious mind as the goal getter. More on this subject later.
PRIME DIRECTIVES OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
Understanding the prime directives of the subconscious mind is crucial as you learn how the subconscious mind goes about ordering your life. We care a lot about Conscious - Subconscious integration and it is important for your conscious mind to remember that all true change happens at the subconscious level. It is also important to understand as much as you can about how and what the subconscious mind does. Amongst other things it works in an orderly manner in line with its prime directives:
Your Subconscious Mind stores all your memories both in relationship to time (Temporal) and not in relationship to time (Atemporal).
- Temporal memories are stored in relationship to time; it saves these memories in a chronological manner, using your internal Time Line.
- Atemporal memories are those not related to time, like acquisition of language for an example - the meaning of the words that we learn do not have a relationship with time.
2. It is the domain of the emotions.
When you were young popular literature lead you to believe that your heart is the home of your emotions,. I agree that your heart will process your emotions, just like any other organ or a cell in your body. However, it all starts in your subconscious mind, which stores itself in every single cells neuron in your body. As it links things and gives meanings to things, your hypothalamus gland produces matching chemicals that affect all the cells in your body. Your subconscious mind is where it all starts - It is the domain of the emotions. (Watch the DVD "What The Bleep Do We Know" to get a better understanding of this.)
3. Organise all your memories.
Your Subconscious Mind organises all your stored memories. It uses your Time Line as a filing system. The Mechanics of how it works is gestalt, which simply means that it also organises memories according to subjects or feelings. It will connect and organise all memories related to happiness and it will link them together. I will speak about it in more detail later, especially concerning the Quantum Time Line™. (In case you are familiar with the Gestalt Therapy, the two are not related ).
4. Repress memories with unresolved negative emotions.
Your subconscious mind can repress memories to protect you. Continuously facing your emotional baggage would soon lead to some form of serious mental illness, (however, some people and therapists believe that is the way to overcome something traumatic, to re-live it everyday). It represses the unresolved negative emotions until it ‘feels’ that you are ready to deal with or resolve it. The subconscious mind can also present you with unprocessed negative emotions from the past by triggering some deeply buried memory.
Both the conscious and subconscious mind ‘know’ that negative emotions are not good for the body. If they were good for the body, I doubt that they would feel so destructive and damaging to our system. This is not to say that we should not process anger, shame, sadness, fear, hurt, anxiety, frustration and guilt. We have the ability to feel and experience these emotions for a reason. Negative emotions can be useful when used in the appropriate context.
The usual metaphor I use is; the subconscious mind puts all these unresolved negative emotions in small black garbage bags, and stores these negative emotions your body for later processing. Since EVERYTHING is made of energy, including our thoughts that means that these unprocessed negative emotions are also made of energy, as we mentioned before. Since these emotions are a physical presence, your subconscious mind has to store them within the body. These unprocessed negative emotions stored within our bodies cause stress to our organs, hurt the body, and make the easy flow of communication between all your internal systems rather difficult. This affects our health and is the primary cause of the stress doctor’s talk about when they say that 80% of all our diseases are cause by stress. This is the primary reason why some off us are battling with unnecessary illnesses.
An example - information flowing from your brain to your elbow, aimed at healing a cut, creating new cells, replacing the old ones... and that information gets intercepted by this energetic or emotional blockage, (the black garbage bags stored somewhere on the way). Just think how this is bound to change the quality of the information, making the communication and healing difficult and confusing the bodies response, or even worse, changing the direction of that information meant for your elbow and causing it to end up in the kidney! The kidney receives some very confusing instructions and acts accordingly. This causes stress for kidney, which causes stress to all the other organs in the body. Usually, the weakest link in the chain will develop some sort of malady…
Another fact is that the Subconscious Mind uses a lot of energy to suppress these negative emotions. By releasing all these negative emotions, most people experience much more energy in their day-to-day living.

5. Presents repressed memories for resolution.
Have you ever experienced a significant emotional event where you were deeply touched or emotionally negatively affected? However they say that time heals all and some time later you moved on. Well you thought that you had healed and that life had moved on, only to be surprised days, weeks, months or even years later, when you were in a far better emotional state and the issue presented itself again. Those thoughts start crawling back in to your conscious mind and you think, has this ever happened to me?
This is when you discover that you buried those thoughts and feelings long ago. You buried them in your body. Now your subconscious mind is presenting it to you for resolution as it “thinks” you can handle it now. It’s opening that little “black bag” to your consciousness and inviting you to PLEASE deal with it now, process it and gain some learnings, get some resolution, so that you can grow and move on, not repeating the same mistakes in life, etc... It just wants to make these memories rational so that it can release the emotions.
6. May keep the repressed emotions repressed for protection.
Now, on very rare occasions, the subconscious mind may keep the memories repressed for protection. Some people experience horrible events in life, so horrible and unimaginable, that the subconscious mind may repress them and not bring them out again. This can manifest itself when we cannot recall the full content of such a memory.
7. Run your body.
This is very useful. Imagine if you had to consciously do everything that your subconscious mind is doing to run your body! Imagine if you were consciously responsible for all the breathing, heart function, healing, food processing etc. Imagine the number of processes that the subconscious mind does for you every single second of every single day! Yet some people tell me that they don’t trust their subconscious mind. I refuse to believe that. They certainly did last night when they trusted their subconscious mind to keep breathing while they were asleep, to run their heart and all the other unconscious bodily processes They just need to remind themselves of how deeply they trust their subconscious mind with their very life!
8. Your subconscious mind has a blueprint of your body and of your perfect health in conception.
Based on its undoubted power, we ask the subconscious mind to heal the body. You see, your subconscious mind is programmed to build your body from a tiny fetus to a full size baby, making sure you had a head, two arms, legs, etc... It used a blueprint of perfect health that exists in the deepest parts of your subconscious mind.
9. Preserve the body.
Your subconscious mind maintains the integrity of the body. It preserves the body. This is its highest prime directive. This is its main and most important function. Preserving the integrity of the body is its No. 1 priority. Your subconscious mind, acts on a set of instructions and responds the world around it. This can cause confusion and affect its ability to always perform this function optimally. When this happens, there is possibility for diseases to occur.
10. Is a highly moral being.
Your Subconscious Mind is very moral, the morality you were taught and accepted. There is a saying "There is honour amongst thieves." A thief steals, to earn his living. Yet, in an ideal world he will not steal from another thief. Which means that we can have unique and individual perception of what is moral and what is not.
11. Enjoys serving, needs clear orders to follow.
Your subconscious mind loves you. It loves you more than anyone will ever be able to love you. It is you and it loves serving you. It just needs you to give it clear instructions to follow. The best advice I can give you here is to get clear idea of what you want in order to send clear instructions to your subconscious mind consistently. In the Coaching/Training process, we will teach you how to do that. I call it Creative Thinking™
People often send confusing instructions to their minds. They wake up one morning and they are happy with themselves, looking at the mirror acknowledging how beautiful or sexy they are. Next morning, they wake up and choose to feel sad, unsatisfied with their body and acknowledge how much fatter they are when compared to whomever... and this ties in with the next function of the subconscious mind...
12. Controls and maintains all perceptions.
It is in charge of your perceptions and whatever it receives through your FIVE senses or telepathically, it processes and compares it to the emotional templates found in your subconscious mind. Thereafter, it receives and transmits this information to the Conscious Mind.
13. Generates, stores, distributes and transmits "energy"
Your subconscious mind is in charge of all energy in your body. By directly communicating with it, we can achieve desired energy levels, direct that energy to where it is needed most, etc. This can be very handy when you think of people who have a condition called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. We can encourage and give the Subconscious Mind the opportunity to increase the energy levels and that would ease the symptoms of that condition, even causing it to completely disappear.
14. Maintains instincts and generates habits.
Instincts are hard wired in our neurology. If your life is in danger, either you will choose to stay there and Fight or you will choose the option of Flight - to run away or safely take yourself out of that situation.
Habits on the other hand, you learn over time, and it takes repetition for a habit to become ‘hard wired’. Using NLP techniques like changing strategies or “swish patterns”, would install an optimal habit without much repetition being needed.
15. Is programmed to continually seek more and more.
We are internally programmed to seek more and more. The drive to want more, is extremely powerful, it comes naturally to us. In nature, everything is designed for expansion and for growth. Your subconscious mind is no different. Needing more in order to be happy for example, is where deep seated problems often have their origin. You have the power to choose to be happy this moment in time, right now! You may just not know how.
The good news is that there is always more to discover. New things to learn and new ways to grow: You will find that the moment you close yourself to learning, there is nothing more for you to learn according to your own deep seated mindset. Knowing what you know today, you would agree that it would be counter productive to choose not to learn. The bottom line is that you are either standing still and dying slowly or you are growing and expanding.
16. Functions best as a “whole” integrated unit.
This is the subject of wholeness. Your subconscious mind does not need parts to function. The fewer parts there are the less chance for the incongruence. Being whole means, being completely congruent in everything that you do. Having one mission, one vision, one intention, and focusing more clearly on your goals.
In our Coaching/Training we have a process called "Parts Integration", where we can basically integrate all the conflicting parts in a person (the positive and negative/limiting little voice in the back of your mind), so that our clients can become one whole person with one mission, one vision, and one intention.
17. The subconscious mind operates using symbols.
Your subconscious mind uses and responds to symbols and pictures. It operates using symbols/pictures and uses symbols/pictures to establish meaning and make connections. There is no universal language of symbols/pictures for the subconscious mind. It gives symbols/pictures their own meaning. If I say "car", what happens in your mind? You saw a picture of a car in your mind, right. Therefore, our subconscious mind communicates in pictures and interprets words, which are sounds that link it to certain pictures in the mind. That is why you cannot understand a new language because your subconscious mind cannot link that sound (word) of the other language to a picture in your mind.
In our Coaching/Training, we get great results with our clients/students in a very short period because we communicate with their subconscious mind in a very special way, using symbols and pictures.
18. The subconscious mind takes everything personally.
The basis of perception is projection, a concept that I will explain to you a bit later. Remember that as far as your subconscious mind is concerned, there is no one else but you. Therefore, if you think or speak negative thoughts and words towards another person, your subconscious mind internalises what you are thinking and applies those thoughts towards yourself. Thus, thinking negative thoughts about other people will have a negative impact on you. Your are breaking yourself down! Remember the saying... If you point a finger at someone else there are three fingers pointing back at you. How can judging, belittling, criticising, or any other negative thought patterns aimed at someone else be of service to you? Why would you do that to yourself? It is so much easier to accept, respect, understand, and love!
19. Work on the principle of least effort.
Your subconscious always takes the path of least resistance. Meaning it finds the shortest route to get to a certain target or goal. That is why when you come for your Coaching/Training, we teach you and help you to program your goals directly into your subconscious mind. When programming your goals clearly into your subconscious mind it will find the path of least effort and resistance to get to your goals. Your subconscious mind will also attract the right people and create circumstances to help you reach your goals in the specific period that we set.
20. Does not process negatives.
Now what in the world could this mean? Can you guess? To sum it up briefly; if you tell someone not to do something for example telling your kids; "do not jump on the bed". The "do not" is not processed by the subconscious mind. All it hear is; "do jump on the bed". Then you wonder; “why aren’t my kids listening to me”? Now, this works on adults exactly as it works on children. Instead of telling someone what not to do, tell them exactly what you want them to do, or how exactly to behave. As in the previous example, rather tell your kids "We sleep on the bed and we jump on the trampoline, don't we?"
“Always Say It In The Way You Want Them To Behave”.
If you tell someone what not to do, they will definitely do what you do not want them to do. Does it make sense now?
